Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport has slammed TikTok as a “dirty” and “biased” platform after the company closed its video app to US users over the weekend.
Rapaport's video was posted before the app was shut down due to its ties to the Chinese Communist Party government through its parent company ByteDance. Congress passed a law last year requiring TikTok to be sold to a U.S. company or banned in the U.S. by a Jan. 19 deadline.
“TikTok, TikTok users, you did it to yourself,” Rapaport said in a rant. “We can say what we want about Elon Musk. We can say what we want about Zuckerberg. At least we have a face. At least we have someone to complain to. We tweet at them. We can send a DM. Our faces are covered in wax and we scream at them.”

“We don't know who is running this platform,” he added. “This platform is dirty. This platform is biased. It's almost soft here. I saw some crazy stuff on TikTok. You did it to yourself.”

Before TikTok ceased operations, a message shared on the app stated that President Trump expressed his intention to work with the Chinese-owned company on “solutions” to national security issues. In his rant, Rapaport pointed out that it's unclear who exactly is the face behind the video app.

“We don't know who runs this platform. This platform is dirty. This platform is biased. It's more of a soft guy here. I see some crazy guys. — you did it to yourself on TikTok.
“Say what you want about Facebook, Instagram, X, WhatsApp, Snapchat,” Rappaport continued. “At least we know who is running this community. I don't know what the anti-Israel softies are doing. … Goodbye, goodbye TikTok. ”

The “True Romance” star recently made headlines after posting a rant about California Governor Gavin Newsom's response to the Los Angeles fires.
Rapaport criticized “good-haired Gavin Newsom” for talking about “stopping Trump” in California when he should be focusing on “making the state fireproof.”
