Michele Tafoya Skips Super Bowl Halftime for Household Chores

Michele Tafoya, the former NFL sideline reporter, has chosen not to watch Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show. Instead, she’s opted for an unusual activity during the big game—something she’s never done before.

On social media, she shared that she won’t be tuning in to Bad Bunny’s performance at the 2026 Super Bowl taking place at Levi’s Stadium. “Tonight at halftime I’m going to do something I’ve never done before: fold laundry,” she posted on X.

Bad Bunny’s halftime show during the Seahawks’ 29-13 triumph over the Patriots stirred some debate among fans.

Tafoya has quite the extensive background in sports journalism. She was known for her time on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” and NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” from 2011 until 2022. Her most recent assignment was last February when she reported on the Rams’ victory over the Bengals in the Super Bowl.

Her broadcasting journey began at KFAN in Minneapolis, where she covered the Vikings and the University of Minneapolis, before making her way to CBS in 1994.

Recently, she filed paperwork to run for the Republican nomination for governor of Minnesota, joining a list of contenders that includes notable figures like former State Senate leader David Hung and ex-NBA player Royce White.

Bad Bunny’s electrifying performance lasted just over 13 minutes and included appearances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Celebrity cameos also featured names like Cardi B, Jessica Alba, and Pedro Pascal.

At halftime, the Seahawks held a 9-0 lead over the Patriots, and ultimately secured their first Super Bowl title since 2014.
