Michigan earns spot in men's Final Four

Wolverines Secure Final Four Spot

The Michigan Wolverines kicked off strong against the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday, ultimately securing a place in the Final Four of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The game started with Michigan leading 21-0 in the first half, and they finished the half with a commanding 34-10 advantage, closing it out at 48-26.

Michigan went on to win the game 95-62, marking their first Final Four appearance since 2018, when they faced off against the Villanova Wildcats in the national championship.

Jaksel Lendeborg shone brightly for Michigan, leading all scorers with 27 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the floor. He also grabbed seven rebounds and provided four assists during the game.

Besides Lendeborg, three other Wolverines contributed significantly. Mores Johnson Jr. scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while Aday Mara and Nimali Barnett added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Elliott Caddo was just shy of a double-double, finishing with eight points and ten assists.

On the other side, Tennessee struggled, shooting only 32% from the floor and a mere 19% from beyond the arc. Jacobi Gillespie was their standout player, putting up 21 points, while Felix Okpara added 10 points and 7 rebounds.

With the victory, Michigan is set to take on the University of Arizona in the upcoming Final Four matchup.
