Mikal Bridge had to edit a bit after talking to MSG broadcaster Mike Breen after the Knicks' dramatic 116-113 defeated the Pistons and punched New York's ticket to the second round of the NBA playoffs, then burned a bit.
When Breen threw the headset, Bridges were still in the victory when they began asking what the conversation was like when the Knicks were pushing in after just under three minutes.
“We built it for this s-t. That's all,” Bridges began.
The station jumped straight away and tried to remind the bridge not to use explicit language.
“Sorry, sorry, but we built for it. That's it. We stayed with it, stayed positive, we continued the fight. That's everything I know. Everything we know,” Bridges said.
The Knicks removed the victory after vanishing their fourth quarter lead and beat a 113-113 tie from a three-pointer from Jalen Brunson with 4.3 seconds left.
Branson finished the game with 40 points with 15/33rd shooting.
Bridge scored 25 points on his side in a 16-11 shooting and made a clutch tip-in in under a minute to set up the Branson game winner.

113-111, Branson missed the jumper and Bridge placed himself under the basket and tilted the rebound into the hoop to score with 35.6 seconds left.
Josh Hart took part in Bridge's play on social media after the match, praising his teammates.
“Mirtal is a bad guy.” Heart wrote on x.

The Knicks face the Celtics starting Monday.
It's the first time that Eastern Conference rivals have faced each other in the playoffs since 2013.
It is also the first time since 1984 that two teams have played in the playoffs after their first round.
