Mike Johnson, Israeli Speaker Advocating for Trump to Receive the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize

Push for Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

Speaker Mike Johnson, alongside Israeli Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana, is advocating for Donald Trump to be nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

Johnson expressed pride in collaborating with Speaker Ohana, stating, “We are embarking on a project to bring together leaders from around the world to jointly nominate President Trump for next year’s Nobel Peace Prize. There’s truly no one more deserving of this recognition.”

During a press conference, Johnson detailed their initiative, emphasizing the timing following the release of Israeli hostages from Hamas. He mentioned Ohana’s address in the Israeli parliament where they both stressed the importance of this endeavor.

Johnson reflected, “Today, all eyes are on Israel as President Trump welcomes back the last remaining hostage who endured two years in captivity. It’s incredible. I heard a releasee mention that after the US elections, their treatment improved dramatically.”

He noted a change in how Hamas treated hostages, attributing it to the expectations surrounding the elections, implying that they anticipated Kamala Harris would win but were relieved that Trump prevailed. Johnson described this as a historic moment, deserving global recognition, particularly in the context of the longstanding quest for peace in the Middle East. “Now, President Trump has made it happen,” he declared.

He continued with his announcement, confident in the necessity of the nomination. “No president has been as determined to save lives and seek peace as President Trump. Under his leadership, we are witnessing the dawn of a new era, not just for America but for the free world.”

Speaker Ohana echoed these sentiments in his remarks, calling Trump a “President of Peace” and underscoring the influence of his actions in various regions worldwide. He insisted that no one else deserved such recognition more than Trump, whose approach, they believe, has demonstrated that peace is often achieved through strength.

As they move forward with the nominations, the push for Trump’s recognition highlights the priorities and expectations from both congressional leaders and their allies.

In related news, the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Maria Colina Machado for her advocacy for democratic rights in Venezuela. Machado expressed gratitude towards Trump during her acceptance, showcasing the ongoing global political dynamics.
