Mike McCarthy won’t coach in 2025 after Cowboys dismissal

Mike McCarthy is not looking for a new job right away.

Former Cowboys coaches are not looking for new head coaching gigs until the employment cycle in 2026. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday night.

According to the report, he is expected to be a “powerful candidate one year later.”

The McCarsey period with the cowboys ended earlier this month with a total of 49-35 records in five seasons.

He led the cowboys to participate in the playoffs in 2021, 2022, and 2023, but during that period there was only one playoff victory.

McCarthy was linked to some coaching vacant seats after departure from Dallas and interviewed Bears for their opening.

Eventually, Bears chose to go for work with Lions's attack coordinator Ben Johnson.

The 61 -year -old McCarsey was also thought to be related to the job of the saint coaching.

The saint is the only team looking for a head coach.

The decision to leave the employment market seemed a bit like a blow when searching for a new coach for New Orleans. According to NOLA.com.

Outlet explained that it is one of his favorite McCarthy.

McCarsey was a saint's attack coordinator since 2000-04.

NOLA.com reported that McCarsey had to interview Sainz's head coaching gig last week, but needed to be delayed after the snowstorm that hit the area.
