Former Vice President Mike Pence said Friday that he will not support former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election, citing “serious” differences.
Trump on Tuesday night secured enough delegates to clinch the Republican nomination for president in 2024, making him the clear candidate. “It’s no surprise that I’m not supporting Donald Trump this year,” Pence told Fox News host Martha McCallum. “Look, I’m very proud of our administration’s record. It’s made America more prosperous, it’s made it safer, it’s made America more peaceful, and it’s made the world more peaceful. Conservatives have seen conservatives appointed to the courts. That being said, during the presidential campaign, I have noted significant differences between myself and President Trump on a variety of issues, not just regarding the constitutional duties I exercised on January 6th. It made something clear.”
