Mike Pompeo: I’m glad they’re home. I fear what that means for Americans traveling the world. We have now allowed extortion to escalate in Iran. We put a $2 billion price tag on American heads. Call it for simple Kansas math. And we know this. This will likely provoke Iranians and North Koreans. We have seen what President Putin has done. They will take more Americans with them. In other words, America has the power to bring prisoners back home.you punish people who take it american hostage. What we did was we brought Pastor Branson home. We didn’t pay a penny. I brought back three Americans who had been imprisoned in North Korea. We didn’t pay a dime. Instead, they now pay the ransom. $1 billion per person. And there is no doubt that Iran will soon detain Americans. And now we know what that price is.

White House supports Iran prisoner exchange deal, Biden says it will ‘bring five families back together’
A White House official confirmed that five Americans being released in a prisoner exchange with Iran are on their way to the United States.

5 americans After leaving Iran, the two family members arrived in Doha, Qatar, on Monday. White House officials touted the move as reuniting President Biden with his family. In exchange, the United States surrendered five Iranian prisoners and returned $6 billion in frozen funds for use in Iran.

“The president is trying to get five families back together,” a White House official said Sunday night.

The frozen funds arrived in Qatar on Sunday night, sparking Liberation of Iran. Qatar is acting as a mediator in negotiations between the United States and Iran.
