Mike Tomlin had no doubts about his future in Pittsburgh after the Steelers lost to the Bills on Monday.
Rumors have been swirling about Tomlin's departure after this season, but the Steelers head coach didn't want to address the topic so soon after his team was eliminated from the playoffs.
When reporters tried to bring up the topic during the postgame press conference, Tomlin stepped off the podium.
“Mike, you have one year left on your contract…” the reporter tried to ask.
But before they could finish thinking, Tomlin headed for the door.
The Steelers have no interest in letting Tomlin go, but reports suggest Tomlin is wondering what he plans to do after this season.
Pro Football Talk reported Sunday that Tomlin has consulted with his family about his future in the sport and could sign a new contract with the Steelers.
Tomlin has one year left in the final year of his contract, but this is the first time he has entered the final year without an extension.
“(We are considering) the following options: (1) Sign a new contract with the Steelers; (2) Resign and receive contract rights in 2024 if another team agrees to do so. Wait to see if they contact the Steelers. (3) See if another team contacts the Steelers about resigning, sitting out a year, and acquiring his rights in 2025. Or (4) ) has rejected a contract extension and will terminate his contract in 2024 and become a free agent,” Pro Football Talk wrote in a report.

Tomlin, 51, has been the Steelers' head coach since 2007 and led the team to the 2009 Super Bowl title.
He has a 173-100-2 record in the regular season and 8-10 in the playoffs in his 17 seasons with Pittsburgh.
