Mike Vrabel and Deanna Russini’s Boat Trip Sparks Attention

The connection between New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former The Athletic reporter Deanna Russini is making headlines again. TMZ Sports has reported that they are believed to have rented a private boat for a trip together.

Back in June 2021, the two rented a boat in Putnam County, Tennessee, with only the two of them on board for a duration of about 2-3 hours. At that time, Vrabel was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. A source claimed to have direct knowledge of the situation.

Interestingly, Russini was reportedly pregnant with her first child during this outing.

Documents obtained by TMZ Sports indicate that both Vrabel and Russini signed waivers prior to their time on the lake. However, it was noted that there were no public displays of affection between them before they set out.

Sources from TMZ Sports added that both Vrabel and Russini seemed cautious about being photographed. While Vrabel did pose for a picture with a staff member, he requested it remain private. Russini, on the other hand, opted against taking any pictures.

Russini married her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, in 2020 and had their first child in late summer. Meanwhile, Vrabel has been married to his wife Jen since 1999, and they have two kids together.

A week after the boat trip, Russini shared a photo on Instagram that looked to be of Goldschmidt on a beach in New Jersey, captioning it, “I’m lucky to have such amazing people to spend this vacation with in July.”

The buzz around Vrabel and Russini started when they were seen together at a boutique resort in Arizona. Since then, they’ve been spotted multiple times, including a gambling moment at a casino in 2024 and sharing a kiss at a bar back in 2020.
