Mike Vrabel to Skip Pre-Draft Press Conference Amid Relationship Speculation

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel will not attend the upcoming pre-draft press conference, stirred up by attention on his connection with NFL reporter Dianna Russini.

As the NFL draft approaches—set for April 23, where the Patriots hold the 31st pick—reports indicate Vrabel has opted not to engage with reporters until then. Instead, Patriots executive Elliott Wolf will address the media on Monday at 2:00 PM ET.

Recently, Vrabel and Russini were photographed together at an Arizona resort, leading to scrutiny. While The Athletic initially supported Russini, a source revealed she is now facing an investigation. The source noted that the image caused significant discussion about the context surrounding it, particularly with a larger circle of friends present at the time.

The investigation, which has unveiled new details, is ongoing and raises further concerns regarding Russini’s reporting. It appears she will be sidelined from reporting duties while this process unfolds. The New York Times has refrained from commenting on the matter.

Photos showed the two holding hands and embracing on a resort rooftop, sparking multiple responses. In a statement to a media outlet, Vrabel insisted that the interaction was innocent and ridiculed any suggestions of impropriety as absurd.
