Miley Cyrus Considers Reconnecting with Liam Hemsworth
Miley Cyrus might be revisiting her past for an important conversation. Nearly five years after her divorce from Liam Hemsworth, the singer is reportedly open to rekindling the relationship, according to a source.
The couple’s connection lasted a decade, culminating in their marriage in December 2018, though they separated just seven months later. Their divorce concluded in January 2020, marked by a tumultuous breakup filled with speculation.
A source shared, “Miley has been trying to move on, but it hasn’t been easy. She’s had a tough time lately. Liam was a huge part of her life, and she genuinely thought they were meant to be together. She regrets how things ended.”
Cyrus seems to be seeking closure personally. “Miley doesn’t like to be alone, and she insists that’s why she wants to meet Liam. She doesn’t want to do this over text,” the source revealed.
Interestingly, Hemsworth is said to be willing to meet Cyrus, despite being engaged to model Gabriella Brooks. “Liam dislikes confrontation and has stayed away from Miley since their split, literally pushing her away,” the source noted. “Now, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore her. He’s agreed to meet Miley the next time she’s in Los Angeles, which makes her quite happy.”
The pair first connected on a film set in 2010, and Cyrus has expressed how a genuine spark ignited behind the scenes. “One memorable part of that movie was seeing two young people fall in love in real time and in real life,” she said on TikTok in September 2023.
She recollected the immediate chemistry, stating, “The chemistry was undeniable. That kicked off a long relationship that lasted a decade.”
Cyrus has also openly discussed the moment she recognized her marriage was coming to an end. She shared a memory from her performance at the Glastonbury Music Festival in 2019, explaining, “Glastonbury was in June when Liam and I decided to marry. After 10 years together, it was out of love, but also from a place of trauma, trying to rebuild quickly.”
She concluded, “On the day of that performance, I realized that maintaining that relationship wasn’t going to work for me anymore.”
