Miley Cyrus Engaged to Max Morando

Miley Cyrus has moved from wrecking balls to wedding bells, as she recently got engaged to her boyfriend, Max Morando, after nearly four years together. While in this exciting phase, Cyrus expressed her amazement at the privacy they’ve managed to maintain. “What surprises me is that we can actually have and, well, have more options,” she noted. “I think it’s also because, as I’ve grown older, I’ve become more protective of what I share publicly.”

Cyrus and Morando first made their relationship known in late 2021 when they attended a Gucci event together. Since then, they’ve kept things mostly under wraps, but he did show his support for her at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she won Record of the Year for her hit, “Flowers.” A source shared, “She’s really happy with him. Miley has changed a lot in the past few years. She seems calmer and more harmonious. Everyone loves Max; he’s a great guy and prefers to stay out of the spotlight, which has been beneficial for her.”

Interestingly, their romance began with a blind date, which Cyrus says she didn’t know was blind for Morando. “Honestly, I thought, ‘Well, the worst that can happen is I just leave.’”

Despite a six-year age gap—Cyrus is older—she remarked that this difference adds a unique perspective to their relationship. “He sees the world in a way that’s different from mine,” she explained. “He grew up with a laptop, whereas I had to share a desktop with my siblings. It’s funny; he taught me about raising our dog from Reddit, and I was like, ‘Do we even need to do this?’

Before Morando, Cyrus was married to Liam Hemsworth, but that marriage lasted less than a year, concluding with a divorce finalized in early 2020. This new engagement seems to mark a refreshing chapter for the artist.
