Miley Cyrus’ mother Tish admits that she struggled mightily with her divorce from Billy Ray until she saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
Tish appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast with her daughter and Miley’s eldest sister Brandi to talk about their decision to end their nearly 30-year marriage.

Tish’s mother passed away during the coronavirus outbreak, making her feelings of anxiety even worse.
“It was really crazy, because, to be honest, my two biggest fears in life were always being alone and my mother dying. I thought, ‘If my mother dies, will I survive?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know,'” she said. She said, “I had to go through it alone.”
“And, to be honest, I had a complete mental breakdown for a month. It was the worst thing. It wasn’t good, to be honest.”
Tisch works with Dr. Daniel Amen, a well-known psychiatrist, with whom Miley has also spoken, at one point asking him to “put me in a mental hospital.” , he said he replied, “I do.” I don’t think it’s best for both of us. ”

“I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t stop crying. I literally weighed about 130 pounds.” [pounds]” Tish recalled. “I don’t have my mother and I don’t have her husband, who was her husband for 30 years. I’m so scared.”
Tish and Billy Ray officially divorced in 2022, but this wasn’t their first filing. Billy Ray filed for divorce in 2010, but the two worked things out and reconciled a year later. In June 2013, Tish filed for divorce again, but the couple reunited a month later.
They have a total of five children with Tish’s first husband, Baxter Neil Helson: Brandi and Trace, who were later adopted by Billy Ray, as well as Miley, Brayson, and Noah. Billy Ray also has a son, Christopher Cody Cyrus, from his relationship with Kristin Lackey.
At the time of their divorce, the two revealed that they had been living separately for two years.

Brandi offered her support to her mother, writing, “I’m so glad she was able to come out of that pain and find what she’s looking at now with her husband, because that’s what she deserves. Tish admitted that she “didn’t want to get divorced,” but she stopped “playing the role” of a married couple during quarantine.[was] I looked at myself and thought, “What the hell am I doing?” I literally just made that firm decision and am moving forward with my life. And you know what, young lady? It gave the best results. ”
After their divorce, Billy Ray married musician Firerose, and Tish married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell.

Miley hosted her mother’s wedding, and Brandi and Trace attended, but Brayson and Noah did not. Despite their absence, a source told Entertainment Tonight, “There is no family drama between Tish, Noah and Blazon.”
On “Call Her Daddy,” Tish joked that Purcell was her “hall pass” when she was married to Billy Ray, and often jokingly lamented that they were no longer together. he said.
She revealed that Purcell messaged her on Instagram in 2016, but “I hadn’t seen her in a year.”
When Tish tried to contact her later, Brandi discovered that her mother had been blocked from Purcell’s Instagram. They were assumed by his ex after he got in touch.

Tish said that during the separation, she had complained to a friend about being alone, but the friend told her to message Purcell again, and when she did, he found that he had unblocked her.
The 56-year-old sent a message under the guise of talking about her production deal with NBCU and asked if they wanted to get together and discuss ideas for a show.
He quickly replied, agreed to meet, and stated that he was “into” her.
“So we went to lunch and we were making out for about three hours, and within a few days, they were saying, ‘I love you,'” she said.

Brandi said, “You did a great job of giving her confidence,” and Tish agreed.
“I’m living my best life, and he’s delicious!” She later added, “There was never a moment where I didn’t feel loved by him.”
Tish also revealed on the podcast that she has openly smoked marijuana, saying she first tried it 10 years ago after experiencing anxiety after her tour bus caught fire during Miley’s 2014 Bangerz tour. He revealed that.
She said she felt marijuana was “the devil” and a “gateway” drug, but after having trouble sleeping and not liking the effects of Ambien, Miley told her, “‘Mom, I just smoke weed.’ ‘If you can help me,’ that was the beginning.” I started smoking cigarettes to sleep. ”
