Reportedly, she worth millions But Alyssa Milano insists she’s “no different” from other parents raising money on GoFundMe for their children’s baseball trips.
Amid growing public outcry, Alyssa Milano stepped up her efforts to get others to pay for her son’s trip to Cooperstown.
“Every parent raises money for their child’s sports team, many through GoFundMe. I’m no different,” she wrote on Instagram this week.
“I would like to pay for travel, transportation, hotels, food and beverages, uniforms, trading pins, and everything the team does for this type of expedition for the entire team and their families. I can’t afford that.” So. Maybe someday. Besides, if I paid for everyone, my trolls would do something else to harm me. ”
As Breitbart News reported, Alyssa Milano received harsh criticism after asking fans for donations.
“My son’s baseball team is raising money for a trip to Cooperstown. Any amount is welcome. You can read more about the team or donate here,” Milano wrote to X. Added GoFundMe link.
Amid widespread ridicule, Milano turned to damage control.
“I have received inquiries from the media about whether I contributed financially to my son’s baseball team,” Milano wrote on social media. “I pay for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, throw birthday parties, and sponsor kids who can’t afford the monthly dues.”
Milano spent much of the Trump presidency promoting himself as a spokesperson for #MeToo, particularly during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
