Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) on Wednesday fully endorsed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), Harris’s running mate, calling him the perfect fit for Harris.
“I know what it takes to run a tough race and win, and so does Tim Walz,” she said. Written on social platform X“We are in the midst of the most important presidential election in the history of our nation, and we need a candidate who is a battle-hardened leader.”
“That is why I fully endorse Gov. Tim Walz for vice president,” she added.
Walz has been an enthusiastic supporter of Harris since she entered the presidential race on Sunday, but he is one of the less-discussed candidates to be her running mate.
He appeared on Fox News on Tuesday and sparred with former President Trump over his praise of Harris’ record.
Trump Criticizing Fox News Regarding inviting the governor on his show, he said on his website Truth Social that the network was making him “fight a battle that doesn’t need to be fought.”
“As a country boy, I can tell you that Donald Trump knows nothing about rural America,” Waltz said. Reply with a post About X. “So he’s going to lose Minnesota, he’s going to lose Wisconsin, he’s going to lose Michigan, and he’s going to lose Pennsylvania.”
Minnesota has voted Democratic for president for decades, but Mr. Trump is focused on flipping the state this November, and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), is scheduled to campaign in Minneapolis this week.
