It was a special moment for Nashville Sounds minor league baseball player Wes Clark on Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee, when he was baptized on the field after a game.
Clark’s teammate and friend, Brewer-Hicklen, baptized him in a bathtub on the field as fans looked on. Video footage shows Clark’s loved ones embracing him after the special event. Sports Spectrum report on monday.
In a social media post on Sunday, Clark Said It was an honor to be baptized by Hicklen, but he gave all his thanks to Jesus Christ.
“Thank you Jesus for this amazing moment in my life. I am incredibly happy to be surrounded by so many supportive people. It was a truly special night!” he wrote.
Video footage show The players wore T-shirts during the baptism ceremony that read, “Jesus Won.”
Once out of the tub, Clarke can be seen embracing loved ones and fellow players who wanted to share the moment with him.

Notably, the Nashville Sounds defeated the Memphis Redbirds that night, 4-1. According to a report from Sports Spectrum, Clark was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2021 and promoted to Nashville earlier this season.
