Miriam Adelson humorously proposes $250 million to Trump for his third-term campaign: 'Consider it'

Adelson’s $250 Million Offer for Trump’s 2028 Campaign

During a Hanukkah celebration at the White House, billionaire Miriam Adelson playfully proposed a donation of $250 million to support President Trump’s potential campaign for a third term in 2028, despite the limitations set by the 22nd Amendment.

She referenced a conversation with Alan Dershowitz, a former Harvard Law professor, who suggested that legal hurdles could take about four years to resolve. “I met with Alan, and he said it could take time. I agree with him,” Adelson remarked, nudging Trump to consider the possibility.

While attendees chanted “Four more years!”, additional remarks by Adelson to Trump were not clearly heard.

Trump responded by sharing with the guests, “She mentioned, ‘Think about it. I’ll give you another $250 million.'” Adelson, confirming her intention, stated into the microphone, “I’m donating.”

Israeli-born Adelson, whose family fortune is estimated at around $42 billion, has been a strong supporter of pro-Israel candidates, including Trump, throughout his campaigns.

Trump has indicated interest in the idea of running again, even promoting “Trump 2028” merchandise, though the Constitution imposes a two-term limit on the presidency.

Legal expert Dershowitz was unavailable for comment regarding how Trump might navigate these constraints.

Interestingly, Trump has remained ambiguous about his intentions, oscillating between expressing genuine interest in a run and acknowledging the legal challenges involved.

While traveling in Asia in October, Trump dismissed the controversial idea of running as Vice President alongside J.D. Vance to circumvent the two-term limit, stating, “The public won’t like it. You’re too cute. That’s no good.”

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles emphasized that Trump is not pursuing a third term but noted, “He’s definitely enjoying it.”
