Miss Governance USA Accuses Congressman of Threatening Behavior
In a surprising turn of events, Miss Governance USA, Lindsey Langston, has accused Rep. Collie Mills (R-FLA.) of threatening to release intimate videos and photos of her. This situation escalated after their relationship ended, particularly when Mills found out she was seeing someone else earlier this year.
Langston, who was crowned in October, reported the allegations to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on July 14. Documents reveal that since February 20, 2025, Mills, 45, has contacted Langston multiple times, threatening to share nude images and videos of her, including some depicting their intimate moments together.
The police report highlights a threat made by Mills at a time when he suspected Langston was pursuing another romantic partner following their breakup.
Later, Langston provided evidence of Mills’ threats, including a screenshot of an Instagram message, which she then forwarded to Florida law enforcement officials, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
Anthony Sabatini, a lawyer who previously challenged Mills in the 2022 GOP Primary, has briefly taken on Langston’s case. He stated that Mills’ actions constitute a serious violation of Florida’s Sexual Cyberharassment Statute, classifying it as a double felony.
In one alarming exchange, Mills allegedly mentioned, “I can send him some videos of you too,” indicating he had kept footage of their time together.
Langston and Mills have been in a relationship since November 2021, sharing a home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. However, in February 2025, Sarah Laviani, an Iranian-American Republican activist, claimed that Mills had been manipulative throughout their relationship, leading to a turbulent end.
Laviani stated she had “bruises on her arm” but declined to file charges, describing the situation as personal issues stemming from emotional distress, excessive drinking, and medical conditions following a recent trip.
NBC’s report showed that Laviani had permitted officers to listen to recorded calls, where it seemed evidence pointed to instances of both verbal and physical escalation in her relationship with Mills.
Langston confronted Mills after she saw news coverage regarding conflicts involving Laviani. The sheriff’s office report indicated that Mills had claimed he was not involved with anyone else and accused Langston of fabricating the story.
However, Langston later discovered images on social media of Mills with other women, contradicting his assertions.
Current relationships remain under scrutiny, particularly as Laviani shared a photo with Mills on her Instagram, dating back to mid-March. Meanwhile, Mills faced turmoil over a rent dispute, purportedly linked to an unpaid $85,000 bill, which he blamed on a problematic payment portal.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now overseeing the investigation into Mills’ threatening messages towards Langston, but they have not responded to inquiries about the case’s progress.
Mills’ office representatives have yet to issue a comment regarding these serious allegations.
