A Florida man who went missing after falling from a jet ski in rough seas over the weekend has been returned safely after a dramatic rescue.
Joseph Barricklaw, 53, was reported missing Sunday after a witness found his jet ski abandoned in the waters off St. Lucie Inlet, the Martin County Sheriff's Office said. Ta.
The agency said it had sent 100 shifts to search for Barricklaw, along with aviation, local police forces and marines.

“Fortunately, MSCO located the man clinging to a rock off a pier on the north side of St. Lucie Inlet,” the sheriff's office said on Facebook.
The U.S. Coast Guard was called in to help as the seas were rough.

USCG air survival technicians were able to maneuver Barricklow over the rock he was clinging to and hoist him to safety by helicopter.

Mr Barricklaw was taken to shore and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“This is truly an example of the amazing lifesaving teamwork of the Martin County Sheriff's Office and our federal partners at the U.S. Coast Guard,” the sheriff's office said.
