The missing woman who planned to move out of the apartment she shared with her ex-boyfriend was found stuffed in a Yonkers suitcase Thursday morning, according to sources and her family.
Pamela Alcantara, 26, mysteriously disappeared before being last seen in the Fordham Heights building in the Bronx on Sunday, officers said.
Alcantara last spoke to her mother at Faseti Time early Sunday morning, saying that she was scheduled to head to church service but never showed up. Her family told News12.
Surveillance footage obtained by the outlet shows her walking to the elevator but not leaving the building.
Her desperate family smeared photos of her outside Morris Avenue and East 182 Street Apartment, praying for her safe return.
Instead, her body was tragically discovered by police in luggage at Saw Mill River Parkway near Yonkers Avenue and Palmer Road in Yonkers.
Her relatives said Alcantara lived on the fifth floor with her ex-lovers and was planning to change the apartment without him.
Sources say the former was arrested after license plate readers caught his car where her body was found.
The charges were pending against him Thursday night.
Alcantara's family was struck by sadness after a horrifying discovery.
“We're all in ruins because this should never have happened,” a relative told News12.
“She was only 26 years old and had been moving her whole life ahead of her.”
