The family of missing student Riley Strain said unreleased surveillance video showed him briskly walking and “jogging” in the opposite direction of the hotel.
Strain’s stepfather, Chris Whyid, and his friend, Chris Dingman, who serves as a family spokesperson, said on Sunday that Metro Nashville police have released the last known video of the night the University of Missouri student disappeared. revealed that he had shown it to the police.

Whited said police played the video for the family on Sunday after Riley’s debit card was found near the Cumberland River by two TikTok detectives.
“This was the last known video of Riley. It was basically from where the officer’s body camera footage was to just before the James Robertson Bridge,” the stepfather said.
Whited was referring to previously released body camera footage that showed officers encountering Strain and asking him about him while responding to a robbery on Gay Street in Nashville on March 8.
Whited said that although the surveillance video was taken from a distance, the 22-year-old “appeared to be walking or jogging at a very fast pace.”
“We all know how difficult it is to find balance… especially when you’ve been drinking, let alone trying to do things like jog,” he added.
Strain disappeared from country star Luke Bryan’s honky-tonk bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge, after he was fired for being too drunk.
The 6-foot-7 finance major was in Nashville with his Delta Chi fraternity brothers for the annual event.
