A family of a New York banker who disappeared on vacation in Spain more than a month ago confirmed that the washed ashore belongs to the age of 37.
“It’s a deep sadness to talk about the passing of my youngest son, Grant Barr,” wrote Michael Barr, who wrote in a post on his Facebook page by Grant Barr’s father, Michael Barr.
Grant Bar was with friends and relatives of Estepona in Costa del Sol when he disappeared on January 28th. Spain’s eyes.
His pants and passport were found near the resort’s beach shortly after he was reported missing, prompting a massive search, the outlet reported.

The outlet reported that Bar’s body was washed away on the beach on March 3, but his family was not notified until April 4, when the body was identified after spending weeks searching for him.
Michael Barr added that the beach ruins have been confirmed to have his son confirmed through DNA.
“As a father, my world is never the same. The same may be true for all who know and love him. I am grateful for the prayers and kind thoughts from everyone who knows and loves him, with courage and love,” continued Michael Burr.

According to his father, Barr traveled to Spain for a voyage after experiencing a difficult farewell. He added that his son is in a “emotional state” and may be suffering from reality.
“He loved sailing. He was a certified skydiver and worked on a pilot license. He had the enormous thirst of life,” Barr’s father shared an image of his son on Facebook.
Authorities initially ruled that he was a drowsing death, but the exact situation remains unknown.
Grant’s brother James Burr said his brother’s body was released on Friday “after he traveled back and forth between the court and the coroner’s office.”

“I sometimes came to mind the worst-case scenario ideas, but I didn’t really think that this would end up being the end,” James Burr said.
James Barr also shared his complaints about the delay in notifications, saying, “It means that it was the last time we’ve all been looking for two weeks already, but it didn’t suggest that there was something they were looking for.”
Spain’s Guardia Civil and Policia Nacional have not commented on the incident.
According to the LinkedIn page, Barr works at Mellon Corporation Bank, New York, and previously worked at Citibank.

The US State Department also confirmed that Barr had passed away to Fox News Digital and said, “We would like to express our sincere condolences to our families about their losses.”
