A Massachusetts woman who went missing on Christmas Eve has been found dead in a frozen lake, and authorities believe she fell into the icy water while walking her dog.
Owen Casosi, 30, was last seen entering J.C. Phillips Nature Preserve in Beverly, Mass., around 3 p.m. Tuesday, and when she failed to return, authorities launched a multi-agency search. This was announced by the Essex County District Attorney's Office. release.

Kasozi was said to have been walking his dog in a nature reserve before he disappeared. Officials say the nature reserve is a popular place for walking dogs and is frequented by residents.

Authorities noted that the dog was found safe in Topsfield, Massachusetts, after Kassozi's owner disappeared.

Authorities do not suspect foul play at this time, but the official cause of Kasozi's death is pending an investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), the prosecutor's office said. Fox News Digital has reached out to OCME for comment.
“This is not the search result that anyone was expecting,” Tucker said. “We would like to thank all of our law enforcement partners who worked diligently between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to locate Owen Casosi.
