A Mississippi police officer has been fired after allegedly filming himself having sex with another woman and sharing the video with a fellow highway patrol officer, according to reports.
Officer Ivana Williams was fired in February after allegations that she sent lewd photos of herself to several senior officers and visited pornographic sites on her state-issued cell phone.
She was further accused of sending a sex video with another woman to a co-worker, who subsequently filed a civil lawsuit against her. Reported by WLBT.
“At this time I don’t know the exact number of people who have this video,” the anonymous victim wrote in the complaint. “From what I’ve heard, it appears many law enforcement agencies have this video. MHP chiefs and officers have shared the video.”
Sergeant Julius Hutson and Sergeant Jeremy Lott were later fired for allegedly violating the code of conduct by requesting nude photographs from Williams.
The scandal has been attracting renewed attention after it came to light this week. I got a new job. WLBT reported exclusively that he was working as a Rankin County sheriff’s deputy.
“From my understanding and background research, it is [the Mississippi Highway Patrol] “There was no suspicion of criminal activity of any kind,” Rankin County Sheriff Brian Bailey told the outlet.
Hutson told state investigators he was “90 percent” sure he was Williams’ boss, but admitted he still asked for the lewd photos.
In their appeal to the state, the men claim they received the photos outside of work hours and asked the state to overturn their firings.
