Mitch McConnell Reportedly Opposed Gaetz for Attorney General but Voted for AG Garland

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has reportedly opposed President-elect Donald Trump's attorney general nominee, Matt Gaetz.

But Mr. McConnell voted: confirm President Joe Biden nominated Merrick Garland to the same position nearly four years ago.

Under the Garland administration, the Justice Department was given a weapon against America First Republicans. Examples include:

  • trying to jail trump
  • director FBI to address 'threat' at local school board meeting
  • raid project veritas
  • raid Mar-a-Lago
  • probing People who dared to question the 2020 election results
  • prohibit Justice Department officials refrain from speaking directly to lawmakers
  • Hunter Biden not charged with violating FARA
  • Joe Biden could not be prosecuted in classified documents case
