MLW star Rickey Shane Page delights in success of AEW stars Swerve Strickland, MJF

Before Ricky Shane Page (RSP) became the United States Openweight Champion in Major League Wrestling (MLW), he competed in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) against future stars Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) and I was doing a show with Swerve Strickland.

The three professional wrestlers performed together in Combat Zone Wrestling until Strickland left the promotion in 2017.

Strickland and MJF entered Major League Wrestling before RSP and elevated themselves by joining All Elite Wrestling.

MJF was the AEW World Champion until he lost to Samoa Joe at the At World’s End pay-per-view. Strickland has emerged as a contender for that championship after his recent fight with Adam “Hangman” Page. RSP told FOX News Digital in a recent interview that he is happy to see the two getting the recognition they deserve.

“It’s awesome. Especially MJF, I got to see what he’s been up to. I mean, I literally went to the movies the other day and he’s in a legit movie that’s probably going to get nominated for an Oscar. ” he said of the wrestler’s exploits in RSP “Iron Claw.” “His name was there. It said, ‘Executive Producer Maxwell Jacob Friedman.'” That’s fine, that’s insane.

“And some people even think I was in CZW a lot…I was in the cage in a deathmatch with Swerve and he just absolutely killed it. And that’s true everywhere. I have friends from every brand and every region of the world. “

RSP added that they were overjoyed to see guys like Dan Moloney join New Japan Pro Wrestling’s popular faction, Bullet Club.

“He definitely does that. I’m so proud of him. And it happens a lot. I’m very lucky to be in a group of friends that are just really talented people. ”
