The whole family.

“I don't think that's a possibility anymore,” Stonestreet said of the show.
“They had their chances. [Series co-creator] Chris Lloyd and a couple of other writers had written a great script that would have brought Jesse and me into this life in Missouri, and they said, no. We just didn't want to do it.”
“Modern Family” originally aired on ABC from 2009 to 2020, with more than 200 episodes across eight seasons.

The spinoff show would have followed Cam as he pursues his dream of becoming a college football coach.
“I think it was a huge success,” he said, “and I don't think it wasn't a success because one of the creators who's been trying to do it for a long time and really cared about making sure this show was great was willing to do it.”
But ABC didn't want that.
“They had the right people in place. It would have been great. If ABC had said, 'Let's do it,' we'd be on the air by now,” he said.

Comparing it to Los Angeles, he said, “…it brings out all the sleaze in our business. It highlights it, because I'm here, I'm dealing with the people here, I'm going into the stores, I'm experiencing raw, real moments, and then when I go to Hollywood, I'm reminded of the type of people I deal with.”
