Modi’s Deadline for Islamabad

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor is merely on hold, not concluded, as he addressed the public regarding India’s counterterrorism response to attacks linked to Pakistan in Pahargam, Jammu and Kashmir. He cautioned, “Pakistan should understand that the operation isn’t finished; it has only been postponed following their commitment to combat terrorism.” Modi reiterated that India would assess Pakistan’s actions at every step, hinting at the potential for renewed military actions against terrorist camps if Pakistan fails to uphold its promises.

“Beyond Pakistan’s Imagination”

During a 22-minute address, Modi asserted that India’s armed responses have surpassed Pakistan’s expectations, recalling how Pakistan frantically sought international intervention during recent conflicts.

He mentioned that India might reconsider a ceasefire only when Pakistan adequately addresses terrorist activities and military aggression.

“We hit them hard”

Modi described India’s precision strikes as “accurate and powerful,” leading to significant distress in Pakistan. He revealed that while Pakistan planned an attack on Indian borders, India decisively retaliated at the core of the Pakistani military infrastructure. He referenced notable global terrorist incidents, linking them to terrorism shelters in Pakistan.

He stressed, “This operation not only dismantled Pakistan’s terror framework but also dealt a blow to their morale.”

“Operation Sindoor: A New Doctrine”

The Prime Minister asserted that Operation Sindoor symbolizes a fundamental shift in India’s approach to counterterrorism. It establishes a new norm where India will enact decisive strikes wherever terrorist bases exist, especially if the nation is threatened, as he warned against Pakistan’s nuclear provocations. Modi declared that India would not be deterred by nuclear threats and would take precise actions against terrorist hideouts.

“Made in India: A Major Step Forward”

He praised Indian defense capabilities utilized in the operation, asserting that India has consistently triumphed against Pakistan in military confrontations. Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor demonstrates India’s strength in modern warfare, showcasing its superiority in contemporary combat maneuvers.

“It’s Not Just About Terrorism”

Modi remarked on the peril posed by the Pakistani military and government’s endorsement of terrorism, indicating that such actions could ultimately lead to Pakistan’s downfall. He urged the necessity for Pakistan to dismantle its terrorist infrastructure as the only path to peace.

In conclusion, he reinforced a message from his previous speeches, noting, “This is not the age of war, but it’s also not the age of terrorism. A firm stand against terrorism is essential for a better world.”
