Mohamed Soliman's family remains detained as more information surfaces about the Boulder suspect.

Authorities have confirmed that the family of a man suspected of being involved in a bombing in Colorado is now in federal custody. The individual, identified as Mohamed Sabrie Soliman, is reportedly 45 years old and has a wife along with five children.

Sources from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicated that Soliman’s family is undergoing processing for expedited removal.

Soliman faces several serious charges, including attempted first-degree murder and the use of explosives in a felony. Reports suggest he is originally from Egypt and had overstayed his visa after arriving in the U.S. in August 2022. He entered with a non-immigrant visa and was granted permission to stay until early February 2023, yet he did not leave the country.

Interestingly, his work authorization was approved in March 2023, further complicating the situation. His actions drew attention, particularly because he allegedly targeted a pro-Israel group in Boulder, which raises concerns around possible radicalization.

His next court date is set for June 5, where he will make a claim related to his situation. The unfolding details around Soliman’s involvement have led to increased scrutiny over how cases of potential radicalization are managed by authorities.
