Molly Hemingwaythe Federalist editor opposed the Biden administration's “censorship industrial facility” before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
In exchange for Vermont Sen. Peter Welch, Hemingway noted how his party peddled and directly benefited from the measures implemented by former President Joe Biden. However, Welch argued that censorship industrial complexes were merely “abstract terminology.”
“You can rely on censorship industrial facilities to do your job.”
“The industrial censorship complex is an abstract term that doesn't mean much to me, but it clearly conveys a lot of meaning to a lot of people here,” Welch said. “But that requires you to get into something very specific about what the government has done. If it's an NGO, then your view and I think it means that NGOs are hands and gloves with the government.”
Hemingway quickly explained the extent to which conservative and opposing outlets have had their relationship with the government with the NGOs that were censored.
“The government will work with NGOs on things like election honest partnerships that flag items to remove from social media companies,” Hemingway replied. “And they fund these NGOs, and sometimes they actually flag them for these NGOs.
It is no secret that the government has worked closely with NGOs to curb independent platforms, including dissenting speeches and Blaze News. Despite this long and documented history of the conspiracy, Welch argued that Democrats were not refined enough to carry out such a massive censorship.
“This is just an observation,” Welch said. “I'm part of the Democrats. You give us too much credit in being organized so that this whole large company can be put together.”
“In part, it's because you can rely on censorship industrial facilities to do your job,” Hemingway said.
Shortly after Hemingway's reaction, Welch quickly gave birth to the rest of his time.
