Two parents were arrested after the body of a 1-month-old baby boy was found Saturday on Staten Island, police and law enforcement officials said.
Officers responded to a West Brighton home around 6:45 a.m. Saturday and found an “unconscious and unresponsive infant” who had “visible signs of trauma to the left arm,” authorities said.
EMS transported the baby to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Leonard and Jenice Lightfoot were both charged with first- and second-degree reckless endangerment, according to the NYPD.
Officials confirmed that the two, aged 38 and 36 respectively, are the baby’s parents.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation continues, authorities said.
