“We can’t ignore it any longer,” he said. “And I think that more and more Midwestern Americans in states like Ohio and Michigan are waking up to that. This district that I’m running for, so to speak, is just the urban areas of Lansing and East Lansing. “But we also include rural areas outside of that, and we see this momentum building in our polls,” he said, adding that it’s “I’m leading in this race. “Of course it’s not a given, but it shows us that this is starting to change in our direction and we need to take advantage of it.” “This is a very serious and important thing, so I want you to give me a chance to really drive home the message of this campaign,” he continued, speaking about how much the Democratic Party as a whole has changed.
