More protests against Trump? The left simply can't resist.

Americans, brace yourselves! Tomorrow, there will be significant left-wing protests aiming to showcase their “resistance” efforts. They’re calling it a “national day of rebellion,” set to take place in Los Angeles.

So, what’s behind these protests? High inflation? Actually, the current inflation rate is the lowest it’s been in four years.

Are they upset about rising unemployment? Not quite, the unemployment rate remains steady at a low level.

The protesters are lamenting the illegal immigration at our borders—are they concerned about driver wages suffering? Not particularly. Under President Trump, illegal crossings have decreased significantly. With solid job growth, wages have been increasing faster than inflation. Some say that, surprisingly, real incomes are on the rise.

Are they protesting the failures in our education system, particularly affecting minority children? It seems unlikely; one of the protest organizers is Randy Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, who hasn’t brought attention to schools where students graduate without basic literacy skills.

So, if those aren’t the main concerns, what exactly are they protesting?

First, they’re rallying against the Trump administration’s efforts to deport criminals. According to Pew Research, the majority of Americans support the deportation of violent offenders. That’s exactly what immigration enforcement is trying to do in Los Angeles. Interestingly, under Obama, millions were deported as part of similar efforts.

Next, they’re upset about Trump cutting what they consider pointless federal spending. The national debt surged under Biden, yet Democrats oppose measures aimed at reducing waste and fraud—even though Biden’s officials noted that excessive fraud costs the government trillions each year.

It appears they’re resistant to cuts in liberal funding, even when there are reports of significant waste in how money is allocated, particularly with some organizations linked to Democratic campaigns. Elon Musk even pointed to some groups as being characterized by significant financial mismanagement.

Third, the protesters seem eager to distract from a planned military parade in Washington, D.C. They claim it’s intended to commemorate Trump, labeling it “Herr Trump’s birthday,” although it was actually organized to celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. military, with planning having started long before any presidential election.

Are they frustrated with Trump’s foreign policy? Progressives have criticized his administration’s support for Israel, while some argue that his approach to Iran aims to de-escalate nuclear tensions. In contrast, Biden’s approach has, according to critics, inadvertently empowered terrorist activities.

The group coordinating the “No Kings Day” protests claims they are resisting what they see as “authoritarianism” under Trump, which primarily points to the unpopularity of some policies that negatively affect Democrats’ standing with voters.

The Americans are weary of issues like DEI policies, biological males in women’s sports, taxpayer funding for biased media, anti-Semitism at universities, and various forms of cultural censorship. Many appreciate that they now have a president focused on changing the political landscape, even if that means unpopular choices.

Trump is a decisive leader who doesn’t typically succumb to liberal media narratives. This is not a threat to democracy, despite claims to the contrary.

It seems the left is reacting strongly, realizing they can no longer operate at will against the voters’ interests.

“We believe that the power of the government comes from the people, not from one person or one party,” Weingarten stated.

That’s the essence of elections. Perhaps it’s time to accept that.
