Ozempic, Wegovi may be associated with risk of rare blindness: study
People taking Ozempic or Vigovi may be at increased risk for a rare form of blindness, but further research is needed before a final determination can be made, say researchers in the new study. The study, published Wednesday in the medical journal JAMA Ophthalmology, analyzed more than 16,800 people from the Boston area over the past six years, none of whom initially had the eye condition called nonarteritic anterior ischemic eye disease.
