According to recent reports, Wallen’s album “I’m the Problem” and Langley’s “Dandelion” are the highest-selling albums in the U.S. for the first half of 2026, based on Luminate data. Wallen’s album boasts 2,035,000 units sold, while Langley follows closely with 1,638,000 units.
In pursuit of a broader understanding, Luminate defines an album unit as equivalent to one album sale, or if it’s 10 individual tracks sold from the album, or even 2,500 ad-supported on-demand streams. You also count 1,000 paid subscription streams as a unit.
In third place, Bad Bunny’s album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” notable for its performance during the Super Bowl halftime show, sold 1,543,000 units. My thoughts? Morgan Wallen really seems like a worthy candidate for a halftime show appearance himself.
It’s clear that both Langley and Wallen’s success isn’t surprising; they produce some of the most popular music in the country genre today. Seeing them at the forefront of album charts is encouraging for fans, suggesting a thriving future for country music.
