Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) hit back at former President Trump on Wednesday over his recent comments about Jewish Democrats.
President Trump told reporters that Jews who vote for Democrats and President Biden “should have their heads searched” after landing in Georgia for a fundraiser.
Moskowitz denied the remarks, pointing to Trump’s 2022 meeting between Ye and white supremacist Nick Fuentes, formerly known as Kanye West. Both men have faced criticism for anti-Semitic remarks.
“I had my head examined. Everything is fine,” Moskowitz wrote. Social media platform Regarding the statement. “I appreciate the President’s concern. When will Trump have dinner with Kaine and Nick Fuentes again?”
President Trump on Wednesday repeated a familiar claim that Biden has “abandoned” Israel in its war with the militant Hamas group in Gaza.
“Biden has completely lost control of the situation in Israel. He has abandoned Israel. He has completely abandoned Israel,” the former president said. “And frankly, you know he’s a low-IQ person. He has no idea where he is or who’s supporting him.”
“I don’t know if he supports the Palestinians, but he does know one thing,” he added. “He does not support Israel. Jews who vote for Democrats or vote for Biden should have their heads searched because he has abandoned Israel.”
Trump has previously made similar comments about Jewish voters. “Jews who vote for Democrats hate their religion and hate everything about Israel,” he said last month. “Israel will be destroyed and they should be ashamed.”
The Biden administration criticized his comments at the time, with White House press secretary Andrew Bates saying there was “no good reason to promote toxic and false stereotypes that threaten our fellow citizens.”
The Hill has reached out to the Trump and Biden campaigns for comment.
