Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) was asked Wednesday about President-elect Trump's choice of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) to be attorney general, saying, “Elections have consequences.” said.
“Donald Trump has made this selection very deliberately,” Moskowitz said in response to a NewsNation question about Gaetz's new role, calling the Republican representative “very loyal” and “very valuable.” It was evaluated as “Noh”.

President Trump announced Wednesday that he has selected Gaetz to be attorney general in the next administration if confirmed by the Senate.
“Matt is a highly talented and tenacious lawyer trained at William & Mary Law School who stands out in Congress with his focus on achieving much-needed reforms at the Department of Justice. ,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Moskowitz said he knows the attorney general nominee “pretty well,” noting that he has worked with Gates in the House of Representatives and the Florida Legislature.
“Matt helped get Ron DeSantis confirmed as Florida's emergency management director when he was part of the transition team to become Florida's emergency management director,” Moskowitz continued.
Gaetz is one of the president-elect's strongest supporters in Congress, but he also has critics within his own party, most notably former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, whom he successfully ousted from the speakership. (Republican, California) in a bitter public feud.
