‘Most Absurd Thing I’ve Ever Witnessed’: Donalds, Ingraham React Strongly to Democrats Requesting Crowd to Toss ‘Yarn Balls’

Florida Summit Reactions Spark Controversy

During a recent summit, Florida Representative Byron Donald and Fox News’s Laura Ingraham shared a laugh while discussing a Democratic clip that aired. The clip featured a Democratic effort to engage young voters, which prompted Ingraham to joke about throwing a “Yarn Ball” at the event.

The summit, organized by a youth advocacy group, included notable speakers such as former Democratic Party Chair Nancy Pelosi and California Representative Ro Khanna. Ingraham showcased a clip of two women on stage talking about mobilizing voters for the mid-terms, but she criticized the idea of throwing yarn balls, suggesting those who enjoyed such activities should attend a separate session.

“What a god,” Ingraham chuckled. “I just want you to know, Congressman—”

“That’s not true!” Donald interjected.

In the clip, an announcer encouraged attendees to “turn the thread ball” if they wished to participate. The announcement also mentioned that not wanting to engage was perfectly fine.

Ingraham expressed disbelief, saying, “It has to be a fake. I wish there was a ball of thread so I could throw it at the camera. But honestly, this is embarrassing. Playing cards is way more fun.”

Donald joined the conversation, asserting, “If you want to know why Democrats are losing young men, this is it. No young man in America wants to throw thread around. I’m sorry, but this is just ridiculous, Laura. But why should we be surprised? This is the same party that told us Joe Biden could actually perform his job.”

While discussing the summit, Ingraham noted that attendees were asked for valid photo IDs. Donald highlighted what he deemed hypocrisy in voter policies, saying, “Look at the rules for you, not for them. This is absurd. I genuinely think if they believed in common sense, they would offer better opportunities. But if they keep acting this way, it’s all about showing ID to enter their summit. Yet in California, no ID is required to vote.”

“This kind of foolishness is why Democrats are losing support. Just look at their approval ratings. They’re going to keep falling. In the mid-term elections, we’ll come out ahead and secure a majority in both the House and Senate.”

Democrats have long opposed voter identification laws, especially since Trump called for proof of citizenship to vote in March. Ironically, despite their resistance to such measures, attendees at the 2024 Democratic National Convention will need to provide ID for “security screening.”
