Mother and her adult son allegedly beat up 65-year-old woman on cruise ship amid argument

The ship's deputy chief security officer said Dylan Ryan was captured on video punching the victim multiple times.

Police said the elderly victim suffered multiple injuries to his face and head.

Dylan Ryan was lifted from the MSC Seascape at its first port of call in Falmouth, Jamaica. Authorities said he was removed from the ship for unspecified “excessive behavior.”

Kelly Lynn Ryan was allowed to remain on the week-long cruise, which included stops at the cruise line's private islands, MSC Ocean Cay, in the Cayman Islands, Mexico and the Bahamas.

However, once the ship docked in Miami, Kelly Lynn Ryan was arrested. She was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and charged with Person Over 65.

Authorities have not said whether the victim and the alleged assailant know each other or what prompted the altercation.

MSC Cruises has not commented on the incident.
