A mother from Prairieville, Louisiana, faces accusations of engaging in sexual activities with several teenage boys, the youngest being just 14.
Leeann Yammarino, 43, was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old in July 2024. Following a detailed investigation by the sheriff’s office, additional charges have now been brought against her, according to District Attorney Ricky Babin.
“We’ve received more reports from the Sheriff’s Office that clarified several points, prompting us to revise the charges,” Babin explained.
Yammarino is said to have had sexual relations with the 14-year-old on two occasions and is also charged with indecent behavior concerning three other minors.
Babin noted, “We deal with cases of indecent behavior targeting minors, including the sharing of texts, photos, and emails.”
As reported by WBRZ, investigators found that Yammarino had been “sexting,” raising the number of victims to six.
The ages of the victims range from 14 to 16 years old.
Yammarino’s bail has been set at $350,000, with Babin describing her as a potential danger to public safety.
“Her victim was a minor, and this is not an isolated case, which contributes to the multiple charges,” he stated. “In my view, she poses a risk.
It’s noteworthy that Yammarino was married and had been a teenage mother, actively involved in her community.
“Unfortunately, sexual contact with minors occurs more frequently than one might expect. While this case has distinct elements, such incidents are not as rare in crime overall,” Babin remarked.
