O'Donnell cited fatigue by covering President Trump.

Fox News reported:

MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell revealed on Wednesday night that he was exhausted from covering President Donald Trump and had a week off hosting his show, The Last Word.

“I know you've vowed to be here with cover for President Trump's first 100 days. O'Donnell told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

“This is Day 52. I thought it was Day 92. It's Day 52, Rachel, and I'm tired of Day 52, so I'm off next week. And I'm telling you because you know when I just drift away, you don't like it. I'll just take a break next week and then I can go back and go with you for up to 100 days,” O'Donnell continued.

Rachel Madow also appears to want to take a break from covering Trump's presidency.

Transcript via MediaIte:

Maddow: I'm getting it – I'm now the biggest beforehand. It's like that – and it's not even tomorrow yet. Take me with you. Can I go with you? where are you going? Don't tell me where you're going.

O'Donnell: No, no, no. You said 100 days, you said 100 days. You can't. You said 100 days. Day 101, Rachel, you and me, us –

Maddow: Poof.

O'Donnell: Yes, that's right! Happy 52nd, Rachel.
