In response to the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, MSNBC has decided to remove “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski from the air until the initial uproar surrounding the incident has died down.
The decision was apparently made to protect the network from any “inappropriate” comments that may be made during its programming about the former president and the assassination attempt.
“Do you know how insane that is?” asked Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report, adding: “They’re running a stupid show with all of the Democratic Party activists. We pointed out the hypocrisy and the lies just a few weeks ago, and said anyone who doesn’t think Joe Biden is smarter than ever is a goddamn idiot.”
“But basically the most important day of his career,” Rubin continues, “the Monday after the assassination attempt, they took him off the air because they said, ‘You’re not doing a very good job.'”
Afterwards, on “Morning Joe,” the pair spoke about their one-day absence and expressed their frustration.
“We were very surprised and very disappointed. If we had known that the news feed from NBC News was not going to be one across all NBC News channels, we obviously would have gone to work yesterday morning,” Scarborough explained.
“And then they say there’s going to be a news feed replacing us, and we’ll be on the edge of our seats. And either the news feed is going to be ours or they’re going to get somebody else to host the show,” he threatened.
“Oh, what a threat,” Rubin jokes.
