Critique of Washington by Marjorie Taylor Greene
Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former representative, expressed her views on X recently, suggesting that the state of the nation doesn’t change regardless of the political party in control of Washington, D.C.
She stated, “Nothing changes in Washington, no matter which party is in charge. The debt is still rising. We still have wars with foreign countries and we are still paying for them. The cost of living is still rising and the value of the dollar is still shrinking.” Greene added that voting for both Democrats and Republicans yields poor results for the American people.
This criticism aligns with the backdrop of the 2026 midterm elections, where the future of Republican control in the House and Senate is at stake.
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for a response to Greene’s comments.
Greene, once a close supporter of Donald Trump, parted ways with him and left Congress partway through her term earlier this year after a falling out.
In a related comment, regarding Trump’s previous threats about Iran, Greene mentioned “The 25th Amendment!!!” in a post on April 7, after Trump stated that “the entire civilization will perish tonight.” While the president later declared a ceasefire, his threats against Iran did not come to fruition.
After her departure, Clay Fuller, a Republican backed by Trump, secured Greene’s former House seat in a special election runoff. Trump congratulated Fuller and criticized Greene, calling her “crazy.”
In a reflective tone, Trump expressed that Fuller’s win was a significant improvement over Greene, asserting that he was a remarkably talented successor.
