Multi-Agency Task Force Arrests Tren de Aragua Members in Immigration Raid

A surprise early morning raid by immigrants on a makeshift nightclub in the Denver metro area resulted in the arrest of about 50 undocumented immigrants, including some with ties to the Venezuelan gang Torren de Aragua. Multiple federal agencies participating in the raid focused on criminal activity at the scene.

Agents assigned to the Denver office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Denver Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Denver Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) during the Sunday morning raid. Assisted by local authorities, resulting in the seizure of an undisclosed amount of weapons, drugs and cash.

About 50 immigrants suspected of being in the country illegally were arrested and taken to a detention center by Denver ICE enforcement and deportation officers, who also participated in the pre-dawn raid, according to the Denver DEA office. The names and pending criminal charges of those arrested in the operation have not been released.

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security announced it would send other federal law enforcement agencies to help apprehend illegal aliens, Breitbart Texas reported.

“Thanks to the previous administration's open border policies, we have seen violent criminals and gang members terrorize American society,” a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said in a written statement. “Today's action will enable Department of Justice law enforcement officers to help identify and apprehend aliens who have entered our country illegally.”

Sunday's raid is the latest of several immigration measures taken by the Trump administration since taking office. White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said Thursday that the 538 immigrants include “terrorism suspects, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and undocumented immigrants convicted of sex crimes against minors. It included several people.

As reported by Breitbart News, ICE records indicate that the arrested terrorist suspect is Gokhan Adrigzel, 29, a Turkish national. ICE New York arrested Adrigzel for entering the country without inspection during a nationwide immigration check on Thursday.
