In just two weeks, fugitive investigators from the Federal Enforcement and Deportation Bureau in Houston and ERO’s Waco office have successfully arrested five illegal immigrants currently wanted on murder or manslaughter charges in the United States or overseas.
According to a press release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), agents were able to arrest three individuals: a Honduran national wanted in Mexico for “multiple murders,” a Honduran national wanted for murder in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a Mexican national wanted for murder in Mexico.
Following the series of arrests, Brett A. Bradford, director of ERO’s Houston field office, commended law enforcement officers for their efforts in enforcing the nation’s immigration laws and enhancing public safety.

Illegal immigrants are offered a range of taxpayer-funded benefits, creating a “pull factor” that attracts more immigrants.
John D. Linscott, deputy director of ERO’s Houston field office, echoed similar sentiments, attributing their success to professionalism and pride in carrying out their mission.

“These arrests speak to the high level of professionalism of the officers on ERO Houston’s Fugitive Task Force,” Linscott said. “Their quick response to locate, apprehend and remove these threats from our community demonstrates the pride and importance these men and women take in the work they do every day.”
The arrests come amid growing concerns over border security following the arrests of eight Tajik nationals with suspected ties to ISIS by a joint US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)/FBI anti-terrorism task force in three major cities.
