A number of law enforcement officers were reportedly shot during a SWAT battle in a residential area of Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, three of them fatally.
Investigators said U.S. Marshals were working an investigation in the city’s eastern neighborhood when they became involved in an incident that escalated into a shootout. Said CBS News.

In addition, several schools in the region were placed on lockdown as the situation progressed, causing delays in pick-up times for students waiting for their parents after school.
