Musk Stays Close as ‘Friend and Adviser’ to Trump Post-Doge Departure, Vance Reveals!

JD Vance stated on Thursday that Elon Musk will continue to be “friends and advisors” to both the vice president and Donald Trump following his resignation from his current position in what is termed “government efficiency” (DOGE).

Recently, various news sources Politics reported that Trump informed cabinet members that the tech entrepreneur, classified as a “special government employee,” would soon step back from his duties in the administration, take on a supporting role, and return to the private sector.

As a special government employee, Musk’s current tenure is limited to 130 days and is slated to end in late May if calculated from inauguration day.

Nevertheless, on Wednesday, Musk denied the “fake news,” while White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt criticized the political narrative, labeling it “trash,” and added that Musk “will conclude his service as a special government employee once his remarkable work at Doge wraps up.”

In a Thursday morning interview with Fox News, Vance remarked, “Doge has numerous tasks ahead. Indeed, that role will persist after Elon departs, but fundamentally, Elon will stay a friend and counselor to both me and the president.”

“Elon comes in and emphasizes, ‘We need to enhance government efficiency. We must reduce the substantial bureaucracy that obstructs the desires of Americans, while also keeping expenditures in check,'” Vance continued. “We forecasted a time frame of about six months. That’s the commitment Elon made, but naturally, he will remain an advisor, and Doge’s initiatives will be ongoing, just as Elon’s work will never truly conclude.”

Despite Musk’s 130-day limitation, Doge is anticipated to persist until 2026 due to Trump’s executive order.

Reports regarding future associations with the Trump administration earlier this week indicated that Wisconsin liberal judge Susan Crawford defeated a Musk-backed conservative candidate for a Supreme Court seat, amidst Democrats linking to Musk and Trump’s popularity.

Musk allocated millions in campaign races, the most expensive judicial election in U.S. history during his campaigning efforts in the state.

In her acceptance remarks, Crawford stated:
