My Comments ‘Were Ill-Informed,’ ‘I’m 100% Behind Trump’
Hours after posting a video in which he slammed Donald Trump’s record of violating the Second Amendment and suggested he would not vote for him, Kyle Rittenhouse reversed himself, expressing confidence that Trump would be a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
Breitbart News reported that Rittenhouse has criticized President Trump and pledged to nominate Ron Paul for president.
Rittenhouse, outreach director for the Texas Gun Rights Association, Said“Unfortunately, Donald Trump has had bad advisors and has taken a bad stance on the Second Amendment, and that’s my problem.”
She added, “If you cannot fully compromise on the Second Amendment, then I will not vote for you and will nominate someone else. We need defenders of the Second Amendment, or our rights will be eroded and eroded every day. I stand by my decision and I will not retract it.”
Texas Gun Rights “proudly” endorsed Donald Trump for president and warned gun owners not to sit on the sidelines in this election: “We need President Trump to protect our rights. We cannot allow Kamala Harris to win in November. Texas Gun Rights endorses Donald Trump.”
Just two hours after Texas Gun Rights endorsed Trump, Rittenhouse walked back his anti-Trump message. Take note of some“My comments last night were ignorant and counterproductive. I support Donald Trump 100% and call on all gun owners to join me in bringing him back to the White House.”
Over the past 12 hours, I have had a series of constructive conversations with members of the Trump campaign, and I am confident that Mr. Trump will be the strong ally gun owners need to protect their Second Amendment rights.

On May 18, 2024, Breitbart News attended President Trump’s National Rifle Association (NRA) speech in Dallas, where President Trump emphasized that the time has come for a “great restoration of American freedom.”
“Let there be no doubt about it, the survival of the Second Amendment rests on the ballot. The Second Amendment is in danger,” he added.
Trump continued, “We need the Second Amendment to be safe. Forget about going hunting and all that stuff, we need the Second Amendment to be safe, because you know the bad guys aren’t gonna give up their guns. The bad guys aren’t gonna give up their guns.”
He has made it clear that he intends to use his remaining four years in office to protect the Second Amendment for the American people.
