My January 6 Lawsuit Against Trump ‘Is Not Going Away’ — ‘I Am Going to Stand Tall’

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) argued on MSNBC's “Deadline” Tuesday that the lawsuit against President-elect Donald Trump “is not going away.”

Moderator Nicole Wallace said, “Mr. Congressman, I hear you have the right to vote, but if you have a little more time, I would love to have some final words.''

Mr. Swalwell said: I just want to let you know that I had lunch with Speaker Pelosi today with Mr. Harry and other officials. In this season of gratitude, I obviously wanted to express my gratitude, but I also wanted to let you know that I'm not leaving. Adam Schiff and others will not disappear. Brand new leaders like Dan Goldman, Jasmine Crockett, and Jared Moskowitz are not going away. ”

He added: “We still have the January 6th lawsuit that we entered into with other January 6th officers, and it's not going away. We're actually moving forward. Just last week, we filed a lawsuit against a high-ranking Trump administration official. We fire several people, some of whom are returning to the Trump administration. So we're going to court while Donald Trump is president. There is precedent for not allowing it to be reversed. So we still demand accountability. As long as the American people stand tall for fairness and justice and equality, I will stand tall. I want my family to be as strong as Harry Dunn and we will get through this.”
